My university has created a new testing area for hurricanes where a machine is able
to recreate and emulate a hurricane and its different categories. This wall of wind uses
12 electric fans and it is the largest and most powerful facility of its kind created by
a public university. I visited the facility and saw first hand how the machine works.
The wall of wind will help engineers to better design air resistance constructions.
You can see a photo where I am with my classmates in front of fans.
There is also some video of the engineers explaining how it was built.
